February
Hello friends and family. We have had a few milestones in January and February. The big thing is that Garrett started rolling over. At first is was just one roll here and there. Now he automatically rolls when he is layed down. Garrett also started eating cereal and some snacks. He loves playing with his cup, even though he has not figured out how to drink from it. He is also trying to sit up on his own. He will sit up for about a minute and then fall forward a little. He is such a happy baby. He smiles at everyone and laughs and Mommy and Daddy a lot. He got sick in Minnesota and was miserable while getting over that. He is feeling much better now.
In February we went to Minnesota to visit my sister. It was cold, but not too bad until the day we left (perfect timing). My sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew loved seeing Garrett and I am glad they got to see him before he is all grown up.
We got the news this month that Nathan will be leaving for Iraq in mid April. He has been getting physically and mentally prepared for that. He has also started getting some quality gear to take over there. He will be able to call me and e-mail from where he will be so we can hear from him. Also, he is taking our DVD player and I will send him some DVD's of Garrett as he grows the next year. I know Nathan is sad that he will miss so many great things that are going to happen for Garrett this year (crawling, walking, getting teeth) so hopefully that will make him feel like he is part of it.
While Nathan is gone we are going to stay here in North Carolina most of the time, but we will take a trip to Connecticut probably in May. We are also planning on going home to Texas for about a month or so in July.
We didn't do much for Valentines Day this year because Nathan is getting a later work schedule due to deployment. As a friend put it "It was the best Valentines because he was here". I am thankful for that.

Our Family Christmas
We had a great Christmas this year. We went home to Texas for the holidays so everyone could meet Garrett. As you can imagine we stayed busy the entire time trying to see everyone down there. I am sorry to those of you we did not get to meet up with but the time flew by and before we knew it we were on a plane headed home. Garrett did great on the plane ride there and back. He was only fussy a few times. We started the trip off at The Graham house were there were lots of people to meet. Uncle Leif, Ben, Tom, and Ralph along with Grandpa and Grammy and Great Granddaddy. We then went to the Solberg house where Garrett met another Grandpa, Nan, Uncle Patrick, Uncle Tyler, Mommy Jo (Great Grandma) Pappa Jay (Great Grandpa), and a bunch of Rigbys (Great Aunt and Uncle and 2nd Cousins). We were also able to meet up with some of our friends including Josh and Leana, Courtney, Erin and Matt, and briefly with Monique. We did travel to Huntsville to see Mammaw (Great Grandma) and we were able to see both of Nathan's Aunt's (Gina and Lucy). Mammaw was so pleased to meet Garrett and really never thought the day would come that she would meet her Great Grandson.
Garrett got Baptized on Christmas Day at Salem Lutheran Church. The church had a great musical group come in and it really made the day memorable.
We really enjoyed seeing everyone, but we are really happy to be back at home.
